I wanted to send a helpful guide out to all to hopefully help as we go into our final duel meet this weekend.  I know we have many families new to swim team and some that just forget season to season (guilty!!)  

This is how communication regarding attendance at a meet should flow:

MONDAYby midnight:  Log in to website and declare your swimmer attending or not attending the meet.  This is when you can add notes to coach (like swimmer is leaving at noon) and select events for your swimmer.  Please note you do not have to select events for your swimmer!! In fact, it is actually better to allow coach the flexibility to make those decisions.  This is is really intended as specific need or want (say your swimmer wants to swim a specific event to achieve invitational time) 

Tuesday - Thursday:  Behind the scenes work is taking place to arrange swimmers in events.  If during this time, you have a change in your swimmer's availability, you need to contact Coach Neumann directly.  Email and phone number are listed on our website.  

Thursday evening: Our computers guru, Kat Mona, merges our meet entries with the opposing team entries.  Ideally, no additional changes should be made at this time. NWAL has strict rules for this process.

Friday/Saturday AM:  last minute emergency changes need to be directed to Courtney Foerster, Clerk of Course.  This would includes if you are running late to sign in Saturday morning or if swimmer has become ill.  Courtney's phone number is included in every meet info email we send out.

Lastly, please be aware relay assignments can change.  The Free relay is usually not finalized until event 40 of a meet.  Please make sure to communicate to either Coach or Courtney Foerster if you need to leave a meet early whether you were originally scheduled in a relay or not.  

Attendance and communication are so important at a meet.  There are many moving parts to coordinate and it is a real bummer when we have to scratch a relay team due to a missing swimmer!!
