Meet wrap up

    Hey Dolphin Families,

Good Morning!!  I am a few days late on this email, but wanted to get it sent anyway!

What started as a normal swim meet vs Jersey Village Stars was met with thunder and a quick drenching!  Huge shout out to all swimmers, volunteers, and officials that waited it out and returned to finish up the meet!  I know it made for a very long day. Though we didn't pull off a win, swimmers did an amazing job!

Just a reminder regarding weather issues -- decisions in these events are not made hastily, without numerous considerations, and is a process, so it is important to pause with us, be patient, and wait for communication.

We had an awesome senior recognition and we are so proud of our class of 2024 swimmers!  Go do great things in the world as we cheer you on from home!!

It is really hard to pick a single volunteer to spotlight each week, so this week I am going to highlight two....

Ruth Negassi - this is their first year swimming with the dolphins.  At signup, family was unsure if/how they would get volunteer shifts in.  Ruth returned from overseas and jumped right in where ever she was needed, from Friday night set up to double shifts of hospitality, she never hesitated!  Appreciate you, Ruth!

Robert Christian - not only did he step up to train as a new official this season, but he stayed after meet finally ended and did much of tear down without ask.  And by himself -- if you have ever taken down tents you know it is not a one man/woman job!!  Thank  you, Robert!
