2025 Deerfield Village swim season is officially underway!!  This email will contain a couple announcements and list our SAVE THE DATE for important events, so please read on.

First, I wanted to let everyone know that Coach Neumann's wife is expecting their first child in March!  Such an exciting time for them.  Because of this, he has decided not to return to DVST for the 2025 swim season so he can maximize his time at home and with family.  I know you all join me wishing them the very best!!

This leads me to a new introduction!!  Our new DVST Head Coach is Cassie Castaneda.  Coach Cassie brings a wealth of experience and skill and we are so happy to welcome her on deck.  She has worked with club programs in the area and will be an asset to our team!

We are finalizing offers to assistant coaches and will be able to announce these details in the coming weeks.  Please stay tuned.  

I mentioned in my January email that we were creating a fundraising committee to support efforts and raise money.  Those interested please try to attend meeting on February 23 at 4pm.

March 1 - Registration opens, must register by March 31 to guarantee shirt
March 21@7pm - Parent only Informational Meeting (childcare can be arranged)
March 29 - Meet the Coach
April 15 - Evening practices begin
May 2@4-9p - Pictures and Swim Party 
May 3 - Time Trials
May 10 - Away meet at WOR
May 17 - Home meet vs JVS
May 24 - Home meet vs WSG
May 29 - last day of school - no practice  
May 30 - morning practices start
May 31 - Away meet at COPP
June 7 - Home meet vs LOE
June 13 - Pep Rally
June 14 - Divisional meet
June 19@6-9p - End of Season Party and Awards/Recognition
June 20-22 - End of Season Invitational meets
