Pep Rally & Parade
Hello Deerfield Dolphin Families!
Swim season is one of my favorite times of the year, and not because I love a good sauna sweat. It’s totally about community. I love seeing my neighbors and connecting with you!
As we wrap up the season with Divisionals this Sunday, we kick off the weekend with our Deerfield Dolphin Pep Rally Parade on Friday. If this is your first time, or you are like me and forget, here is all the Important information.
Decorate your vehicle–either for your family, or combine with another family. Meet in the parking lot for final touches at 6 pm.
There will be prizes for the best-decorated car, so bring your competitive spirit!
Tell your neighbors! It is fun to have Chairs of Cheering at the end of your block
At 6:30, we will gather for the team cheer, then we will load the cars! Drive slow, honk, and have fun. Please do not throw water balloons and litter the streets.
After the Parade, we will meet on the basketball court to announce the winners and have the annual water balloon fight.
Bring Your Own Water Balloons- Participants are responsible for Cleaning Up.
Please note that if your family is bringing water balloons, your family is responsible for picking up all the water balloon trash. When everyone works together, it’s not a hard job, and it keeps the naysayers at bay, allowing us to continue this tradition year after year.
Because Divisionals will be on Sunday this year, we get to have Swim Team family fun night!
Bring your dinner and stick around.
And if you need an easy button, we have that! Jersey Mike's has a QR code to order your dinner and have it delivered. Thanks, Tupaj Family!
You can eat on the porch, playground, or pool!
The swim team has hired extra lifeguards starting at 7 pm.
The concessions team will be selling any leftover concessions that night.
Additional info: There is a neighborhood pancake breakfast on Saturday morning. Since we won’t be at a swim meet, I invite you to attend.
See you all Friday,Callie Murphy-Social Chair
